Home / About

Our story.

A family spray outfit that has worked the same Palouse wheat country since 1994, run by the pilot whose name is on the airplane.

Who We Are

Built on precision
and a handshake.

Fender Air Service, Inc. was incorporated in Colfax in 1994, but the flying goes back further than that. Owner Darrell Fender came up in the ag-spray business the hard way, loading chemical onto airplanes before he was old enough to fly them, earning his private ticket, then his commercial, and putting himself in the cockpit of his own spray plane.

Decades later, it's still a family operation. Darrell flies the airplanes. His wife, Linda, keeps the books and answers the phone. There's no call center and no franchise, when you hire Fender, you get the people whose name is on the door.

What's kept the phone ringing all these years is simple: accurate work, a careful hand around the neighbors, and a straight answer about what we can and can't do.
